Welcome to the African Human Resource Confederation

One Africa, One HR!

The African Human Resource Confederation

The African Human Resources Confederation (AHRC) stands as the only recognized body representing Human Resources associations across Africa. Our purpose is to unite HR professionals and associations from every corner of the continent, championing a cohesive approach to HR practices that elevate Africa’s standing within the global HR community. Through AHRC, we strive to create an interconnected network that fosters collaboration, drives excellence, and enables knowledge sharing across borders, empowering African HR leaders to make a lasting impact both regionally and internationally.

Mission Statement

To unify, elevate, and empower the Human Resources profession across Africa by fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices in people management. We are committed to  promoting a strong leadership culture,  professional development, and inclusive Human Resources  practices that drive sustainable growth, workforce excellence, and socio-economic development across the African continent.

Vision Statement

To be the leading authority in Human Resources and People Management across Africa, uniting the continent’s HR communities under a shared commitment to innovation, integrity, and inclusive growth. We envision an Africa where HR professionals are at the forefront of driving transformative change, enabling thriving organizations, empowered workforces, and sustainable prosperity.

Governance and Good Standing

AHRC is built on a foundation of governance, transparency, and accountability. As a member, upholding these principles is essential to our mission of fostering a trustworthy and impactful HR community across Africa. Membership with AHRC signifies a commitment not only to the profession but to the ethical standards and integrity that drive positive change in HR practices.
